This article was a reaction to a Facebook post in a photography group.
Somebody on social media posted a "It's the photographer that takes the photo!" post. And of course I had to respond.
Everybody that has a camera, says this and over the years it has become a mantra that tires me a bit, because there's more to it. I'll elaborate.

Awesome photos, crappy handling
Having good gear is very important. Not only do new products often guarantee better results when handled properly, but it's also in the handling itself. Awesome results are all that matter to the viewer or my clients, but I need something more from my gear.
